Bullet Journal/Planner

Bullet Journal/Planner

I needed to find a planner where I could put everything in ONE PLACE!!! I needed it to hold
*Calendar Pages
*Year At a Glance
*Money Savings Goals
*Homeschool Planning pages
*Scope & Sequence for School
*Prayer Pages (with ongoing prayers) for each of my family members
*Gratitude Log
*Grocery List
*To Do List for the day
Also pages set aside for Just *Christmas Time (Page for each kid so I can list gifts, Planning pages for Christmas Time school, Christmas Eve Eve Dinner, Christmas Movies and other gift exchanges.   Below is a little flip through of my two current journals that I’m working through.

I use the larger size POST IT NOTES and can easily tear off to use for another day.
Meal Plan made easy, lay out on the counter and jot down what we are having

I needed a creative outlet as well.  This kills two birds with one stone! I get to decorate my pages and have a creative outlet and it turns into something useful! I can keep this in my purse and have my calendar whenever I need it.  I print out my grocery list and keep a fresh one on my Grocery list page and highlight what I need from the store.  I love that I can leave it on the counter and everything is RIGHT there within a flip of a page! Most days it sits on the calendar opened to my list of things to DO for the day. I love jotting down the chapter books we are reading, so I made this watercolor book case to do that. On the other side it shows the kids individual school plan.  I love visuals as well.  For this years school plan I laid out all the books for the curriculum we chose and took a picture. It is fun to have a visual to see what we will get to do! Makes us excited to see all the neat books we will get to read through as the school year moves along.  Its great to make some GOAL pages! If my savings chart works, then I will have $1378 saved by the end of the year.  Having a place within my bullet journal, makes this so easy.  A good friend suggested that I do TWO bullet journals.  One for planning purposes and one for freestyle (more like a common place book).  My freestyle one will be month my month.  I will decorate with watercolor, Washi tape and drawing and use it to write.  Back in the day everyone would journal and we have many in history that tell a story.  I hope mine will tell a story one day!  I will write prayers, jot down verses that stand out to me, messages that impact me, and share a daily highlights for each day in the month.

I love buying stickers on ETSY that explain “who I am” and sticking them on my journal.

Bullet Journaling gives me the creative outlet I was looking for! I love that I can have this creative outlet but in a useful way!  There are soooooo many bullet journal ideas on PINTEREST and other places to use for making your layouts! Or you can just open up and start writing in your free style journal.  In your planner style journal, I would suggest making a LIST of what things you want / need.  Count up the pages in your journal and use post it notes to jot down what you want on each page.  Once you have a plan then buy a couple supplies and have fun! I love to have a few good pens, maybe colored markers, washi tape, my watercolors, and some fun stickers.
